Josh Gad has joined the cast of FX’s comedy pilot “The Comedians,” starring opposite Billy Crystal. In the project the duo will play two comedians who are reluctantly paired together for a late-night sketch comedy show. Gad most recently appeared in the NBC comedy “16 Penn,” and he also plays Steve Wozniak in the movie “Jobs.”
Showtime has promoted actor Adam Ferrara to series regular on “Nurse Jackie,” continuing his role as the love interest to Edie Falco’s character. Ferrara previously appeared on FX’s “Rescue Me.”
Kiernan Shipka and Mason Dye have been added to the cast of Lifetime’s upcoming movie “Flowers in the Attic,” joining Heather Graham and Ellen Burstyn in the cast. Shipka and Dye will play two of the program’s four children.
Actress Julianne Nicholson has joined the cast of Sundance Channel’s upcoming drama “The Red Road,” about a sheriff who deals with family issues while also policing an increasingly violent community. Nicholson most recently appeared on HBO’s “Boardwalk Empire.”
Ad agency Grey has named Milan Martin president, in charge of the San Francisco office. Martin was previously managing director and chief strategist at Anthem Worldwide, and he’s also previously worked at Ogilvy & Mather and Gyro.
Digital creative agency Fancy Pants has named Robby Rigano managing partner, based in the company’s New York office. Rigano was previously managing director for digital business services at mcgarrybowen.
Brock N. Meeks has been named editor at Atlantic Media Strategies, Atlantic Media’s in-house creative division. Meeks was previously director of communications at the Center for Democracy & Technology.
Eric Pike has been promoted to editor in chief at Martha Stewart Living, effective immediately. Pike has been with Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia since 1992, most recently as editorial and brand director. He replaces Pilar Guzman, who left earlier this week for Conde Nast Traveler.
Trade magazine publisher Summit Business Media has named Matthew Rothenberg vice president of digital products, effective Aug. 19. Rothenberg has previously worked at Ziff Davis, Hachette-Filipacchi and TheLadders.com.
TheStreet has brought back Herb Greenberg as editor of Herb Greenberg’s Reality Check, a subscription-based newsletter. Greenberg, who worked at TheStreet from 1998 to 2004, will also remain a regular contributor at CNBC.
Mark Gambill has been named chief marketing officer at Vocus, which produces cloud marketing software. Gambill has previously held positions at CDW, Dell and Home Depot.
Photo service Getty Images has promoted Lee Martin, naming him senior vice president of sports. Martin will also continue as the company’s senior vice president of sales for Europe and Japan.
