Turner has promoted Christina Miller to president and general manager of Cartoon Network, Adult Swim and Boomerang, taking over for the departed Stuart Snyder. Miller has been with Turner since 2005, most recently as senior vice president of strategy marketing and programming for Turner Sports.
A+E Networks has made four promotions, naming Marcela Tabares senior vice president of revenue research, Tom Pellegrino senior vice president of brand research, Lee Boykoff vice president of digital analytics and customer relationship management, and Julya Fridman vice president of multiplatform and distribution analytics. All four will report to senior vice president of research Don Robert.
Comedy Central has named Rory Albanese executive producer of “The Minority Report with Larry Wilmore,” which will replace “The Colbert Report” when Stephen Colbert moves to CBS to host “The Late Show.” Albanese is a former executive producer of the network’s “The Daily Show.”
Mike Rigby has been named executive creative director at R/GA, working in the agency’s New York office. Rigby was previously executive creative director at Interband in Australia.
Milwaukee agency Jacobson/Rost has brought in Laura Hinrichsen, naming her associate media director. Hinrichsen was previously a marketing manager at Clear Channel Outdoor.
NBCUniversal has promoted Lauren Skowronski to vice president of corporate communications, reporting to senior vice president Cameron Blanchard beginning Aug. 11. Skowronski was previously vice president of media relations for MSNBC.
Actress Cote de Pablo will star in CBS’s “The Dovekeepers,” a four-hour miniseries to air in 2015. De Pablo previously appeared on the network’s “NCIS.”
Mexican actress and singer Lucero has signed with Telemundo to host “Yo Soy El Artista,” a reality music competition premiering in September. She has previously appeared in a number of telenovelas, including “Mañana es Para Siempre,” “Soy tu Dueña” and “Por ella Soy Eva.”
Nancy Gillen has been named managing editor at Marie Claire magazine, beginning on Aug. 4. Gillen was previously managing editor at Glamour, and she’s also previously worked at Harper’s Bazaar and ELLEgirl.
Coastal Living magazine has named Lindsay Lambert managing editor, based in the title’s office in Birmingham, Ala. Lambert had been content editor for the Living and Little Rue businesses at Rue La La.
Editorial cartoonist Matt Davies is set to join Newsday, beginning with the newspaper in September. Davies was previously at Hearst Newspaper Group. He won a Pulitzer Prize in 2004 while at The Journal News in Westchester County.
Advertising technology company PlaceIQ has made two additions, naming Ed Haslam senior vice president of marketing and Phil London senior vice president of product and technology. Haslam joins from YuMe, London SynapSense.
