McCann WorldGroup has promoted Chris Macdonald to president of McCann North America, up from his previous position as president of the agency’s New York office. Macdonald is also a former chief executive officer at McCann London.
TBWA\Chiat\Day has named Erik Vervroegen executive creative director in its New York office, as well as global head of art for TBWA\Worldwide. Vervroegen joins from Publicis, where he was worldwide chief creative officer.
Ad agency RKCR/Y&R has named Jonathan Burley chief creative officer, a new position at the agency. Burley was previously chief creative officer at CHI & Partners.
Brand design agency bluemarlin has a new chief executive officer, promoting Sally O’Rourke to the position. O’Rourke joined the agency last year as global chief operating officer at U.S. president.
TV One has named Tosha Whitten-Griggs senior vice president of public relations, working in the network’s Los Angeles office. Whitten-Griggs was previously president and chief executive officer at The FrontPage Firm.
Ryan Pinette has been promoted to senior vice president of production and operations at Bravo & Oxygen Media, reporting to NBCUniversal lifestyle networks executive vice president David O’Connell. Pinette had been vice president.
AccuWeather has named Steven Hickson chief financial officer, effective immediately. He previously held the same role at Latin American Pay Television Service.
Bloomberg Television has brought in Yousef Gamal El-Din as an anchor for “Bloomberg Markets: Middle East,” working out of Dubai. El-Din has previously worked with CNBC and Egyptian Television.
Town & Country magazine has made a number of moves, including three hires: Norman Vanamee as articles director; Whitney Robinson as style director; and Adam Rathe at senior editor of arts and culture. Vanamee joins from Architectural Digest, Robinson from WhoWhatWhit and Rathe from DuJour Media. Town & Country has also made a pair of promotions, naming Danielle Stein deputy editor and William Kahn fashion market and accessories director.
