Former “Grey’s Anatomy” actor T.R. Knight has been added to Amazon’s drama pilot “Hysteria,” according to Deadline, joining Mena Suvari in the cast. The project is about an epidemic affecting high school girls that may be spreading through technology.
Programmatic and content marketing company PulsePoint has brought in Darline Jean, naming her chief operating officer. Jean joins from About.com, where she was chief executive officer and president.
BrightTag, a cloud-based marketing technology company, has named Warren Billington managing director for the Australia, New Zealand and Southeast Asia regions. Billington was previously at Acxiom, and before that he co-founded the mobile marketing company 5th Finger.
Jenny Gadd has joined Ogilvy & Mather’s New York office, becoming executive director of content production. Gadd had been head of integrated production at Johannes Leonardo.
BBH has named Carey Head head of integrated production and technology in its New York office, beginning May 30. Head previously held a similar role at Barton F. Graf 9000.
Goodby, Silverstein & Partners has named Paul Caiozzo executive creative director, replacing the departed Christian Haas. Caiozzo most recently worked as a freelance creative director, and he’s also previously worked at Twofifteen McCann and Crispin Porter + Bogusky.
AirMedia Group, which handles out-of-home ad platforms in China, has named Richard Peidong Wu chief financial officer, taking over for the departing Henry Ho. Wu was previously at Nokia Solutions and Networks.
Ad sales firm NCC Media has launched a new automotive marketing group, to be led by senior vice president of marketing and business development Andrew Capone. The company has also made a handful of promotions and hires to fill out the group, naming Ed Collins director of automotive marketing and business development, Lisa Pilzner director of automotive strategy and business development, Brian Prebut senior planner for auto marketing, and Scott Robertson, Rich Attardi, Deanna Stromback and Dan Dilloway account managers.
Craig Boswell has been named a correspondent at CBS Newspath, the newsgathering service for CBS stations. Boswell was most recently a correspondent at Fox NewsEdge and fill-in overnight anchor at Fox News Channel.
VH1 has signed Alexandra Shipp to star in its upcoming sequel to the Nick Cannon movie “Drumline,” titled “Drumline: A New Beat.” Also joining the TV movie’s cast, according to The Hollywood Reporter, are Jeff Pierre, Jordan Calloway, Leonard Roberts, Letoya Luckett, Jasmine Burke and Scott Shilstone.
