TBS has added Richard Dreyfuss to its comedy pilot “Your Family Or Mine,” according to Deadline, based on an Israeli series. Dreyfuss’s most recent TV roles were on “Weeds” and “Parenthood.” This will be his first regular role since 2002’s “The Education of Max Bickford.”
Turner Broadcasting has promoted Laura Forti, naming her vice president of the Turner Entertainment Networks Distribution division. Forti has been with the company for nine years, most recently as director.
MTV has named Jane Gould senior vice president of consumer insights and research, reporting to president Stephen Friedman. Gould joins from Viacom sister network Nickelodeon, where she was also senior vice president of consumer insights.
Syfy has signed Wil Wheaton to host “The Wil Wheaton Project,” a weekly talk show premiering May 27. Wheaton has most recently made a number of guest appearances as himself on “The Big Bang Theory.”
Out-of-home transit company Titan has named Margit Kittridge vice president and head of digital, working to expand its digital network. Kittridge was previously executive director of marketing and digital business development at The Wall Street Journal Office Network.
Direct marketing agency R2C Group has promoted Bryan Noguchi to senior vice president and media director, based in the company’s Portland, Ore., office. Noguchi had been director of integrated planning strategy.
Bader Rutter has brought in Perry Littrell as a senior copywriter, working in the agency’s Chicago office. Littrell was previously at Ogilvy Chicago.
The Associated Press has promoted Brad Foss to deputy business editor, up from assistant business editor. Foss has been with the AP since 1999.
Entertainment Weekly has made two additions, naming Neil Janowitz assistant managing editor for EW.com and Chris Rackliffe senior social media editor. Janowitz joins from SI.com, Rackliffe from Federated Media.
Country Living has made 13 hires and promotions as it moves from New York City to a new office in Birmingham, Ala., including naming Steele Marcoux executive editor, Amy Lowe Mitchell managing editor and Eva Spring design director. The title has made 10 other moves, naming Jami Supsic style director; Caroline McKenzie deputy editor; Jennica Johnstone and Erynn Hassinger deputy art directors; Mackenzie Craig photo editor; Page Mullins decorating editor; Katie Bowlby copy chief; Caitlin Miller assistant managing editor; Jeanne Lyons editorial assistant; and Kevin Delgado style assistant.
Fox has added Cory Michael Smith to the cast of its Batman prequel “Gotham,” playing a character who becomes the villain The Riddler. Smith officially has a guest role in the pilot and could become a series regular.
Actor Wagner Moura has joined Netflix’s upcoming drama “Narcos,” playing Pablo Escobar. Moura’s most recent TV series role was in the Brazilian show “Paraíso Tropical.”
