American Media Inc. has named David Zinczenko consulting editorial director, reporting to chief executive officer David Pecker and working with editorial direction for Men’s Fitness. Zinczenko, a former editor in chief at Men’s Health, will also consult on Shape and Natural Health.
Meredith Corp. has named Stan Pavlovsky senior vice president for its national media group and president of Allrecipes.com, replacing the outgoing Lisa Sharples. Pavlovsky joins from Drugstore.com, where he was vice president of ecommerce.
Mindshare has promoted Stacy Minero to head of content marketing and strategic partnerships for the U.S., in charge of the agency’s new content marketing practice. Minero had been managing director of communications planning.
Arnold Worldwide has promoted Wade Devers to executive creative director, based in the agency’s Boston office. Devers was previously executive vice president and group creative director.
Ad agency Mirrorball has made a number of moves, including naming Tom Shaw director of production. Shaw had been at Momentum Worldwide. Mirrorball has also named Lisa Petrella account director, Kim Paquet senior art director, Jenna Taylor junior art director, Ellie Hurley digital engagement manager, Guy Shipp and Will Orsburn account managers, Walis Taleb account coordinator, Adam Leone business administrator and Freya Wilcox digital coordinator.
ABC News has promoted Rick Klein to political director, putting him in charge of political coverage across all platforms. Klein was previously a part of the organization’s editorial team, where he produced two of last year’s Republican primaries.
Caren Bohan is rejoining Reuters as domestic policy correspondent, after most recently serving as managing editor for policy at National Journal. Bohan, a former president of the White House Correspondents’ Association, was previously with Reuters from 1992 to 2012.
AMC has named Scott M. Gimple showrunner and executive producer for the fourth season of “The Walking Dead,” which will begin production in May and premiere in October. Gimple has been a writer on the show since its second season.
Eastman Radio has promoted Nina Mauro to senior vice president and director of sales, in charge of the Philadelphia market. Mauro had been vice president and director of sales.
Digital advertising technology company Selectable Media has made two hires, naming Pete Riherd Western sales director and Dan Feldstein director of marketing. Riherd joins from Entertainment Weekly, Feldstein from MetLife.
David Slade and Mark Calabrese have been named general managers at ChaCha, a mobile question and answer service. Slade previously worked as a consultant, while Calabrese was at Thomson Reuters.
Joni Lupovitz has been named vice president of policy at Common Sense Media, a non-profit organization that deals with a number of issues, including online and mobile privacy. Lupovitz was most recently chief of staff to Federal Trade Commission chair Jon Leibowitz.
