JoeBrownWired magazine has named Joe Brown New York editor, putting him in charge of Wired.com for the morning hours on the East Coast. Brown, who was previously editor in chief at Gizmodo, will also work with the magazine’s social media strategies.

 

Agencies

 

Tom Dunlap has been named chief production officer at 72andSunny, a new position at the agency. Dunlap has been an executive producer at RSA.

Boston agency Mullen has named Richard Hart director of design for global brands, working with director of design Brian Gunderson. Hart has previously worked at a number of agencies, including Wieden + Kennedy, Sid Lee, Mother London and M&C Saatchi.

Partners + Napier has named Jason Marks executive creative director, working in the agency’s New York office. Marks had been senior partner and group creative director at Ogilvy & Mather.

 

CableTV

 

RLTV has named Marietta Biberman marketing manager in its New York sales office, working alongside director of marketing Stacey Simmons. Biberman joins from Screenvision, where she was strategic marketing manager.

Actress Lindsay Lohan has signed on to guest on the FX Charlie Sheen comedy “Anger Management,” playing herself in an April episode. In the episode Lohan will visit Sheen’s therapist character as a patient, before the two become involved romantically.

 

NetworkTV

 

ABC News has named Jeff Zeleny senior Washington correspondent, covering congress and politics. Zeleny previously covered politics and national affairs at The New York Times.

NBC has named Jane Lynch host of its upcoming game show “Hollywood Game Night,” which was created by actor Sean Hayes. Lynch, who stars in Fox’s “Glee,” will also appear in a Broadway version of “Annie” later this year.

Former “Full House” and “ER” actor John Stamos may soon have a new TV job. He is set to join the cast of NBC’s drama pilot “I Am Victor,” according to Deadline, playing a divorce lawyer. Stamos has most recently appeared on the network’s “The New Normal” in a recurring role.

ABC will be without regular dancers Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Chelsie Hightower for the upcoming season of “Dancing with the Stars,” with both leaving before the show’s 16th season, according to TMZ. The web site says Chmerkovskiy has decided to focus on other projects, while Hightower only said, “Sometimes we take breaks.”

Martha Atwater, a TV writer who won an Emmy in 2009 for the PBS kids show “WordWorld,” died over the weekend at age 48 after she was struck by a pickup truck outside of a cafĂ©. The New York Post reports the driver of the truck may have lost control when he became unconscious due to his diabetes.
