“Good Morning America” co-host Robin Roberts‘ recent battles with medical issues seemed to resonate with viewers, and now she’s the most-liked personality on broadcast morning news. That’s according to an analysis of morning personalities’ Q Scores by The Wrap, which placed Roberts on top with a Q Score of 29. Fellow “GMA” personalities Sam Champion (25) and Josh Elliott (20) were Nos. 2 and 3. At the other end of the list were three personalities from NBC’s “Today”–Matt Lauer (Q Score of 7), Carson Daly (6) and Kathie Lee Gifford (5). That said, Gifford was the most recognized personality on the list with a recognizability score of 76, followed by Lauer with a 65.
NBC has added Elisha Cuthbert to its comedy pilot “One Big Happy,” playing a lesbian who gets pregnant with her best friend’s baby just as he impulsively gets married. Cuthbert has most recently appeared on “Happy Endings” and “24.”
CBS has added Sherry Stringfield to the cast of “Under the Dome” for its second season, in a recurring role as a woman who may be somehow connected to the dome. Stringfield most recently had a guest appearance on “CSI,” but she’s best known as Dr. Susan Lewis on “ER.”
Actor Treat Williams has joined NBC’s drama pilot “Odyssey,” which focuses on a military conspiracy. Williams is no stranger to NBC, with a recent recurring role on “Chicago Fire.”
Jerrod Lindquist has been named chief operating officer at Montage Marketing Services, reporting to chief executive Ken Ehling. Lindquist previously worked as a management consultant.
Starz has promoted Amy Bell to senior vice president of brand strategy and marketing communications, and she’ll also continue to lead marketing for its streaming platform Starz Play. Bell joined the network in 2008 as executive director of marketing communications.
NBCSN has named Nate Ryan a contributing NASCAR reporter, appearing as part of a rotating panel of analysts on the new show “NASCAR America.” Ryan also covers racing for USA Today.
Hearst Magazines International has named Gary Ellis chief digital officer, a new position at the company beginning on March 3. Ellis was most recently vice president of international digital media at Viacom Media Networks.
The Associated Press has brought in Chris Hulme, naming him global video enterprise editor. Hulme is a former senior producer at “CBS Evening News.”
Katz Radio Group has named LaTonya Chenault-Qawwee vice president of health care strategies, leading the company’s new health care strategies group. Chenault-Qawwee will work out of the company’s Washington, D.C., office.
Ryan Vaspra has been named senior vice president of product and operations at Sightly, a video advertising technology company. Vaspra was previously vice president of media services at Aviatech.
