Herman Cain, the former National Restaurant Association chief executive and Republican presidential candidate, has been named a contributor at Fox News Channel, as well as Fox Business Network. Cain is also former CEO at Godfather’s Pizza, and he’s recently made appearances on Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show.”

Turner has named Allison Gollust senior vice president of communications for CNN Worldwide, reporting to Turner’s senior vice president of communications Jeff Matteson. Gollust was previously communications director for New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo.

Cable rep firm Viamedia has promoted Jeff Ervin, naming him senior vice president of sales. Ervin had been regional vice president.

London social media agency We Are Social has named David Gilbert media director, in charge of a new paid media offering. Gilbert was previously director of sales and client services at TBG Digital.

South Carolina agency Dealer Online Marketing has brought in Connie Gundrum as director of account services, working with the company’s client relations team. Gundrum has previously held positions at Dealer.com and Zimmerman Advertising.

Twitter has named Jeffrey Graham global head of research, a new position at the social media service. Graham joins from Google, where he was director of advertising research.

Entertainment Weekly TV writer Ken Tucker is leaving the magazine, after accepting a buyout from Time Inc. Tucker had been with the magazine since it launched in 1989. There’s no word yet on what he’ll do next.

Actor and comedian Kevin Hart has signed on to host NBC’s “Saturday Night Live” on March 2, with musical guests Macklemore and Ryan Lewis. Hart currently appears in BET’s “Real Husbands of Hollywood.”

Actor Jason Ritter has joined the cast of Fox’s “Friends & Family,” a comedy pilot based on the UK show “Gavin & Stacey.” Ritter most recently had a recurring role on NBC’s “Parenthood.”

Thomas Lennon has joined the cast of an untitled comedy pilot at NBC, which will star former “Will & Grace” actor Sean Hayes. Lennon has previously appeared on a number of shows, including “Reno 911!” and “How I Met Your Mother.”

Richard Briers, a British actor who for years appeared in the UK’s “The Good Life,” died recently ate age 79 after suffering from a lung condition. Briers also appeared in a number of movies, including “Much Ado About Nothing” and “Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein.”
