Actor Guy Pearce will guest on NBC’s “Sean Saves the World” as a potential love interest to Sean Hayes‘ character, according to TVLine, with his episode to air sometime next year. Pearce’s most recent TV role was on the miniseries “Mildred Pierce.”
CBS Sports has promoted Jennifer Sabatelle to senior vice president of communications, working with both CBS Sports and CBS Sports Network. Sabatelle had been vice president of communications since 2010.
Ozzie Martinez has been named vice president of news and standards at Telemundo, reporting to Telemundo Stations president Manuel Martinez. Martinez was previously assistant news director at WNBC in New York.
Musical artist Nick Jonas will appear again in the season finale of CBS’s “Hawaii Five-0,” reprising his role as a computer hacker. Jonas also guested on a couple episodes of NBC’s “Smash.”
Arnold Worldwide has promoted Pam Hamlin to global president, taking over the responsibilities of outgoing global chief executive Robert LePlae, who’s leaving to pursue other interests. Hamlin had been president of the agency’s Boston office.
TBWA\Chiat\Day has made five hires in its New York office, naming Jared Cohen senior digital strategist, Nicole Hering brand strategist, Dakota Green a planner, and Gabriela Colletta and Darren Nesbitt social community managers. Cohen joins from Samsung, Hering from 360i, Green from Woods Witt Dealy & Sons, Colletta from TBWA Worldwide and Nesbitt from Avrett Free Ginsberg.
Rob Reilly, chief creative officer at Crispin Porter + Bogusky, is leaving the agency after more than 10 years to pursue a new venture. The agency won’t replace Reilly but plans to give the executive creative directors in its individual offices more responsibility.
Business-to-business marketing company Influitive has added two, naming Chris Newton vice president of business development and Eran Aloni vice president of product. Newton was most recently at Xactly, while Aloni joins from EchoSign.
Alisa Carroll has been named editor in chief at San Francisco Cottages & Gardens magazine, which launches in April 2014. Carroll was most recently editor in chief at 3D Magazine.
The Direct Marketing Association has brought in Christopher J.W. Oswald, naming him vice president of state affairs. Oswald was previously director of state government affairs at Reed Elsevier.
MSNBC political talking head Rachel Maddow will soon be opining regularly in The Washington Post, where she will write a monthly column for at least six months. Maddow has previously written columns in the Post on the war in Afghanistan and birth control.
