MEC has named Tim Castree global chief executive officer, replacing the departing Charles Courtier in January. Castree joins from Videology, where he was managing director for North America. He’s also a former U.S. chief operating officer at Mediavest.
Jonathan Goldmacher has been named managing director at MullenLowe Group New York, working alongside New York president Aaron Reitkopf. Goldmacher had been managing director at 360i New York.
Cheil London has named Peter Zillig chief executive officer, taking over for the departed Peter Hammersley. Zillig was previously chief executive officer for the EMEA region at TAG Worldwide.
Justine Armour has joined 72andSunny as group creative director, working in the agency’s New York office. Armour was previously a creative director and copywriter and Wieden + Kennedy.
Sinclair Broadcast Group has promoted Christopher Ripley to president and chief executive officer, replacing David Smith, who will remain on as executive chairman. Ripley was previously chief financial officer.
Molly Price has joined the cast of FX’s upcoming anthology series “Feud,” playing the wife of Alfred Molina’s character. Price most recently made guest appearances on “Bates Motel,” “Madam Secretary” and “The Blacklist.”
Caroline Beasley will become permanent chief executive officer at Beasley Broadcast Group on Jan. 1, after holding an interim title since George Beasley’s medical leave in March. As a part of the move, vice president of finance Marie Tedesco will replace Beasley as chief financial officer.
Media ad sales technology company Matrix Solutions has made two hires, naming Ryan Smaretsky director of strategy and product development and Dan Korhnak director of software development and architecture. Smaretsky joins from Jazz HR, while Korhnak was previously at Aesynt.
