Melissa Rycroft, a former contestant on "The Bachelor" and a current contestant on ABC's "Dancing with the Stars All Stars," was rushed to the hospital on Sunday after injuring her head and neck during rehearsal. Rycroft said she suffered a herniated disc in her neck and was on medication, but she performed on Monday night's episode.

ABC News has brought in Dr. Jennifer Ashton as senior medical contributor, working with chief health and medical editor Dr. Richard Besser. Ashton has previously appeared on CBS, PBS, TLC and Fox News Channel.

Hip-hop artist Wyclef Jean has joined the cast of ABC's "Nashville" for a multi-episode arc, playing the head of a music label. As an actor Jean previously appeared on the show "Third Watch."

 

 

Publicis has named Holli Burlison vice president and associate director of integrated production, working in the agency's Dallas office. Burlison was most recently creative services and agency integration manager at TM Advertising.

M&C Saatchi has named Sveta Doucet chief strategy officer in its New York office, a new position at the agency. Doucet was previously head of strategy at the digital agency Profero.

London digital agency Work Club has made three hires, naming Tom McCoy and Tom Sneddon account directors and Ben Phillips senior strategist. McCoy joins from Skive Creative, Sneddon from Glue Isobar and Phillips from EHS 4D.

 

 

W magazine has named Lucy Kriz vice president and publisher, replacing the departed Nina Lawrence. Kriz has been at Condé Nast for 10 years, most recently as senior executive director in charge of multi-brand sales.

Vogue magazine has brought back Sally Singer as digital creative director, a new position at the magazine. Singer was fashion news and features director at Vogue until she left in 2010 for The New York Times magazine T.

Stephanie Schomer has joined Architectural Digest magazine, becoming associate market editor. Schomer had been staff editor at Fast Company.

 

 

Industry trade Variety has named Michelle Sobrino-Stearns publisher, replacing Brian Gott. Sobrino-Stearns was most recently vice president and associate publisher at the publication, which was bought by Deadline parent Penske Media earlier this month.

 

 

Comedy Central has promoted Megan Ring to senior vice president of production, based in the network's New York office. Ring has been with the network since 2003, most recently as vice president.

 

 

Vicki Lins has been named executive vice president and chief marketing officer at Clear Channel Outdoor Americas, and she'll also serve as a member of the company's executive committee. Lins was previously senior vice president of marketing and communications at Comcast.

 

 

Digital advertising technology company Adconion Direct has named Taylor West regional vice president, in charge of the Mid-Atlantic and South. West was most recently a regional sales director at ValueClick Media.
