Actress Jennie Garth has joined ABC Family’s comedy pilot “Mystery Girls,” starring alongside former “Beverly Hills 90210″ cast mate Tori Spelling. Garth and Spelling are also executive producers on the project.
Lisa Sherman, executive vice president and general manager at Logo since 2008 and with the gay-themed cable network since it launched in 2005, is leaving the network, although she will stay on during a transition period. The move comes as Logo plans to become more closely aligned with fellow Viacom network MTV.
Arthur Sadoun has been promoted to chief executive officer at Publicis Worldwide, reporting to Publicis Groupe chairman and chief executive Maurice Lévy. Sadoun had been managing director, and before that he was chief executive at Publicis France.
Connecticut agency Keiler has named Jerome Barrillon executive director of industrial accounts, a newly created position. Barrillon has previously held positions at Ahlstrom and Illinois Tool Works.
Twentieth Century Fox Television has made two promotions, naming Mark Ambrose vice president of drama development and Shari Rosenblum vice president of publicity. Ambrose has been with the company since 2004, Rosenblum since 2000.
Spanish Broadcasting System has promoted Berry Jasin to chief revenue officer and senior vice president of national sales for Mega TV, its Spanish-language broadcast network. Jasin had been vice president of national sales for the company’s consolidated operations.
Mari Ossenfort has been named director of broadcast at Forum Communications, which owns a handful of TV stations. She had been general manager and general sales manager at KDLT-TV, KDLV and KDLT.com in South Dakota.
Clear Channel Media and Entertainment has named Nancy Abramson director of digital affiliates for national media groups, a new position at the company. Abramson was previously executive director at The Wall Street Journal Radio Network.
ABC News Radio has named Matt Wolfe production manager, after he previously served as morning show producer at WBAB in New York. Wolfe also worked with ABC News as a freelancer from 2004 to 2007.
Meredith Corp. has named Maxwell Ryan contributing editor at Better Homes and Gardens, where he will write a column called “Apartment Therapist.” Ryan has run his Apartment Therapy web site since 2004.
Consumer Reports has brought in Glenn Derene, naming him team leader for electronics content development. Derene was previously senior technology editor at Popular Mechanics.
