Isaac Lee has been named chief executive officer at Fusion, the upcoming network from ABC News and Univision. Lee will also continue in his position as president of Univision News.
The Weather Channel has named Kevin Doerr senior vice president of digital products, putting him in charge of strategy and product development. Doerr was previously vice president of mobile products at Yahoo.
OWN has brought in Morgan Di Stefano, naming her director of communications. Di Stefano was most recently at Embassy Row, where she was director of publicity.
Sundance Channel has named Geraud Alazard vice president of marketing, reporting to president Bruce Tuchman. Alazard had been managing director at PureScreens.
Actor Peter Fonda has joined the cast of Lifetime’s upcoming drama pilot “HR,” which stars Alicia Silverstone. Fonda’s most recent TV appearance was a guest role on “Hawaii Five-0.”
Emilio Romano, president at Telemundo and its sibling cable network mun2, has left his position, and a search for his successor is underway. Romano has also previously worked at Televisa, Mexicana and was on the board at Univision.
ABC has ordered a pilot script for “When the Balls Drop,” a new sitcom starring and based on the upcoming book by former “Everybody Loves Raymond” actor Brad Garrett. The actor previously appeared on the network’s “How to Live With your Parents (For the Rest of Your Life).”
IPG Mediabrands unit ORION Trading has made two promotions, naming Barbara Di Maria national media director and Rich Wakeford local media director. Di Maria was previously senior vice president and director of national broadcast, while Wakeford was senior vice president and local broadcast director.
Jessica Antigua has been promoted to director of audience strategy at Spafax Networks, a division of the agency tenthavenue that focuses on on-the-go audiences. Antigua had been manager of audience strategy.
