Wired magazine has made a number of additions to the editorial management team of new editor in chief Scott Dadich, including Jason Tanz (pictured) as executive editor, Robert Capps as deputy editor, Mark McClusky as editorial development director and Adam Rogers as articles editor. Three others will take on additional responsibilities: Features editor Mark Robinson will take charge of Wired’s e-books; director of special projects Shoshana Berger will develop licensing and branding opportunities; and managing editor Jacob Young will lead day-to-day operations including finances and personnel.
Kate Lanphear has joined T: The New York Times Style Magazine as style director, according to the magazine’s Twitter account. Lanphear was most recently style director at Elle.
MEC has named Joe Kowan practice lead for digital trading and activation, where he will focus on digital spending. Kowan had been vice president of business development at Legolas Media.
Marcus Hewitt has been named chief creative officer at Product Ventures, a brand strategy consultancy based in Connecticut. Hewitt was previously chief creative officer at Dragon Rouge.
Taxi Canada has named Mark Tomblin head of planning, based in Toronto and reporting to general manager Nancy Beattie. Clancy most recently held a similar position at Leo Burnett Group in London.
Cumulus Media has named Kim Bryant market manager, in charge of the company’s New York radio stations. Bryant had been executive vice president of marketing and sales at CineMoi.
Dial Global has promoted Greg Clancy to vice president of creative at TM Studios, its arm that creates custom radio station jingles. Clancy joined the company in 2006 as music director.
Bill McEwen has been promoted at The Fresno Bee, becoming the paper’s editorial page editor. McEwan has held a number of positions since joining the Bee in 1980, including sports columnist and city hall reporter.
Fox has signed on actor Seth Rogen to guest on “The Mindy Project,” playing a man who was the first kiss for Mindy Kaling’s character when they were teens. Rogen will appear on the Feb. 19 episode of the comedy.
From one soap to another–actor Steve Burton is joining CBS’s “The Young and the Restless,” with his first episode to air on Jan. 29. Burton appeared on ABC’s “General Hospital” for more than 20 years.
CBS has added actress Sarah Shahi to the cast of “Person of Interest,” in a recurring role as an agent in a secret anti-terrorism organization. Shahi recently guested on “Chicago Fire,” and before that she appeared in “Fairly Legal.”
U.S. Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte is set to star in a reality series on E! titled “What Would Ryan Lochte Do?,” to premiere in April. The cable network plans six episodes of the series.
