CherSinger and actress Cher has signed a development deal with the cable network Logo, under which she will work on a pilot script set in 1960s Hollywood. Cher is working on the show with writer Ron Zimmerman, and there’s also a chance she could star in the project.

Michelle Beadle and Dave Briggs are teaming up to host “The Crossover: With Beadle and Briggs,” a new sports and entertainment series premiering on NBC Sports Network on Jan. 28. Beadle is also a New York correspondent for “Access Hollywood,” while Briggs joins from Fox News Channel.

 

Agencies

 

Tim Love, Omnicom Group’s vice chairman and chief executive for Asia Pacific, India, the Middle East and Africa, has retired from his position. Love took his most recent position in 2006, and before that he was president of global clients at TBWA Worldwide.

Digital agency 24/7 Media has brought in Tom Comerford, naming him a product manager. Comerford most recently held a similar position at Mediaocean.

Baltimore agency Mission Media has made six moves, naming Shaun Bingham senior designer, Jason Blatt and Michael Scherr web developers/programmers, Catlin Buckley junior web developer and Mary Colleen Tan Roxas interactive designer. The agency also recently hired Harilaos Skourits as a senior designer.

AOL has named Erika Nardini vice president and head of marketing solutions, working with its ad unit AOL Advertising. Nardini had been senior vice president of sales and marketing at Demand Media.

 

Magazines

 

Glamour magazine has named Ying Chu executive beauty director, replacing retiring beauty director Felicia Milewicz. Chu was previously beauty and health director at Marie Claire.

 

Newspapers

 

The New York Observer has named Ken Kurson editor, the newspaper’s fifth editor since 2009. Kurson has written four books and has also worked as a contributing editor at Esquire magazine.

 

NewMedia

 

Wesley Morris has been named a full-time writer at Grantland, the sports and pop culture web site. Morris was most recently a film critic at The Boston Globe.

 

NetworkTV

 

“Criminal Minds” actor Thomas Gibson was arrested early Sunday morning in Los Angeles for suspicion of driving under the influence, after he allegedly drove through barricades that were in place for a half-marathon. The actor was released on bail after spending 12 hours in jail.

 

Elsewhere

 

Former pro wrestler Hulk Hogan has refiled his lawsuit against the web site Gawker in Florida state court, seeking $100 million for posting a sex tape of him online, according to TMZ. Hogan dismissed a federal suit against Gawker in order to refile in Florida, where he is also suing his sex tape partner Heather Clem, who Hogan claims helped leak the tape.
