Taxi New York has brought in David Jenkins as president, working alongside global chief executive officer Rob Guenette and chairman Paul Lavoie. Jenkins was most recently chief integration officer at Kirshenbaum Bond Senecal + Partners.
Mike Roe has rejoined Energy BBDO as an executive creative director, after a previous stint at the agency from 2004 to 2012. Roe most recently worked at McGarryBowen.
Minneapolis agency Carmichael Lynch has brought in Marty Senn, naming him executive creative director. Senn was most recently at Goodby, Silverstein & Partners in San Francisco.
Crispin Porter & Bogusky has made two additions in its Boulder office, naming Ben Smith associate creative director and Becca Schepps senior copywriter. Both Smith and Schepps join from R/GA.
Lyle Schulze has been named vice president of programming at Bonten Media Group, which owns a number of local TV stations. Schulze will also remain general manager of the company’s Eastern North Carolina stations. The company has also named Carolyn Stevens corporate director of programming, in addition to her responsibilities at its Greenville-New Bern operations.
USA has promoted Michael Sluchan to senior vice president of original scripted programming, up from his previous position as vice president. Sluchan Show Sluchan has worked on include “Monk,” “Necessary Roughness,” “Royal Pains” and “Political Animals.”
Francois McGillicuddy has been named senior vice president and general manager at Fox Sports Ohio, effective Feb. 1. McGillicuddy had been vice president of finance and business operations for the Fox Sports network SPEED.
Cable rep firm Viamedia has named Chris Black chief financial officer, based in the company’s Lexington, Ky., office. Black was previously CFO and on the board of directors at Vivint.
Actor Tony Lip, who played mobsters on “The Sopranos” and in a number of gangster movies, died last week at age 82 after several years of deteriorating health. On “The Sopranos,” Lip played Carmine Lupertazzi in several episodes.
Trade magazine publisher Penton Media has named Kate Spellman senior vice president of marketing, reporting to chief executive officer David Kieselstein. Spellman had been president at UBM Studios.
Source Interlink Media has named Scott Burgess Detroit editor at Motor Trend, putting him in charge of auto news coverage in the city. Burgess has been covering the industry in Detroit for eight years, writing for The Detroit News, AOL Autos and Autoblog.
The Associated Press has named Julie Pace White House correspondent, focusing on topics such as foreign policy and immigration. Pace joined the AP in 2007.
Perhaps he’ll be better on the radio than he was in the dugout. The newly launched NBC Sports Radio has brought in former Boston Red Sox manager Bobby Valentine as a contributor for its Major League Baseball coverage, beginning this month. Also, beginning in April Valentine will become a part-time co-host of a daily talk show.
