Now it's the
ladies' turn with Bill 

Socko '60 Minutes' and onto the daytime shows

   Former President Bill Clinton did his serious, button-down interview with Dan Rather Sunday night on "60 Minutes," answering the tough questions about Whitewater, Monica Lewinsky and Osama bin Laden.
   Now the fun begins. Clinton has always had a way with the ladies, and the rest of the week will see him hop his way around the country to various morning and mid-day programs, charming interviewers and audiences that skew heavily toward the female along the way.
   Yesterday and today he appeared on "Oprah," "Today" and "Good Morning America." He's also slated for "Larry King Live" later this week.
   He did attract some women to the "60 Minutes" telecast, of course, though not as many as his wife's last big television appearance.
   Usually celebrity interviews of this type skew female. Hillary Clinton, for example, scored nearly a third more women 18-49 than her husband did Sunday last summer for a similar interview on ABC. 
   With a 10.3 average household rating and 15.7 million viewers, “60 Minutes” was the second-highest rated show on TV last week, behind only the clinching game of the NBA Finals (13.8/21.8 million viewers).
   "60 Minutes'" median viewer's age is 58.8 years old, so not surprisingly, 11 million of the 15.7 million viewers were over the age of 50.
   It was the highest-rated "60 Minutes" since March, when the show got a boost from NCAA men's basketball tournament coverage runover. Equally impressive, Clinton copped those numbers despite airing against the final minutes of the U.S. Open on NBC Sunday night.
   Expect Mr. Clinton to similarly boost ratings everywhere he lands for the rest of the week.
   Elsewhere on broadcast, ABC’s coverage of this year’s NBA Finals, in which the Detroit Pistons stunned the Los Angeles Lakers, was the highest-rated finals series in three years in 18-49s and total viewers. It was also the highest-rated finals series in 18-34s in six years.
   In the second year since it took over NBA broadcast coverage from NBC, ABC increased its ratings for the finals significantly over last year: total viewers were up 81 percent, 25-54s up 86 percent, 18-49s up 93 percent, 18-34s up 98 percent, 12-17s up 89 percent, and 2-11s up 108 percent.
