'Model' behavior:
Thin and catty

UPN summer hit returns with new gorgeous gals

According to a UPN.com poll, attitude is the most important feature of a top model, with 55 percent choosing it over poise and bone structure.
Most of this season’s contestants on “ America ’s Next Top Model,” premiering tonight at 9 p.m., are hoping a tall, thin frame counts for something too, with one 5’9” hopeful barely tipping the scales at 112 pounds.
But the show isn’t just about eating disorders and weigh-ins. These 12 girls have to know how to walk and wear clothes, too, all while subjected to the pressure of living together in a spacious New York loft for free. In tonight’s premiere, one of the girls sleeps in and wakes to find the other girls have left her, making way for an exciting and suspense-filled season ahead.
Tyra Banks returns this season as the girls’ mentor and motivator. Former supermodel Janice Dickerson makes a second appearance as one of the judges, joined by newcomers Eric Nicholson, senior editor of Jane magazine, fashion photographer Nigel Barker, and make-up artist and photo director Jay Manuel.
