Everybody loves
Martha (right?)

As jury selection starts, two looks at Stewart's past

Hallmark may want to consider marketing Jan. 6 as “Martha Stewart Day.” Today is the first day of jury selection for this month’s trial charging Stewart with securities fraud and obstruction of justice. And tonight, A&E and E! will air dueling specials about the domestic diva.
At 9 p.m., A&E’s “Martha Stewart: Recipe for Ruin” features commentary by Christopher Byron, the author of unauthorized biography "Martha, Inc." The one-hour special will include background and opinions about Stewart’s business sense, her rise as a brand icon for retail giant Kmart, the development and growth of her Omnimedia empire, and the charges and speculation currently against her.
Also at 9 p.m. E! will broadcast a repeat of the “E! True Hollywood Story” of Martha Stewart. This biographical account looks beyond her recent business successes to her earlier life as a model and a mother. That’s two separate roles, not the one of “model mother” necessarily.
