Three former Stanley Cup winners will serve as studio guests this month on Versus’ hockey coverage. Former coach Mike Keenan will be on board tonight, followed by Peter Laviolette on Nov. 16 and Darren McCarty on Nov. 23.


Derek Wallbank is now delivering news about Washington to Minnesota. He has joined MinnPost, becoming its Washington correspondent. Wallbank had been a researcher and writer at Congressional Quarterly.

Reid Wilson has joined National Journal Group, becoming editor of its Hotline On Call blog. Wilson was previously an online reporter at The Hill.



There’s a new head of finances at Hearst Corp. The company has named Mitchell Scherzer vice president and chief financial officer, effective Nov. 16. Scherzer was formerly co-head of the media group at Goldman Sachs and most recently worked at The Silverfern Group.

Abbe Wright has joined the Oprah Winfrey empire. Wright has joined O, The Oprah Magazine, becoming contributing assistant to the creative director. She was previously assistant to the editor in chief at Modern Bride, Elegant Bride, and Your Prom.

Departures magazine has made a few moves, including moving Adam Bookbinder from art director to design director. The title has also added Karen Uzel and Madelyn Alpert Roberts, Uzel as luxury ad director and Roberts as lifestyle ad director.

Meredith has moved Jocelyn Voo. She’s been relocated to Family Circle magazine, where she will work as senior web editor. Voo had been special projects web editor at Fitness.


Peter Dunn has outgrown New York. CBS Television Stations has named Dunn president, putting him in charge of the company’s 29 owned-and-operated stations. Dunn, who replaces Tom Kane, was previously president and general manager at WCBS in New York.



Leon Wilson is coming to America. He has joined Minneapolis agency Fallon, becoming creative group head. Wilson joins from Publicis Mojo Melbourne, where he was creative director.

Consulting firm Sapient Interactive has made three additions, including naming Eric Healy vice president of marketing services. The company has also hired Matt Lindley as director of brand experience and innovation and Barry Fiske as creative director.

There’s a new job on the horizon for Serena Duff. She has joined Horizon Media, becoming executive vice president and managing partner, reporting to general manager Zachary Rosenberg. Duff was previously senior vice president of communications planning at Universal McCann.


Debbie Reichig is headed outdoors. She’s been named senior vice president of business development and marketing at Clear Channel Outdoor, a new position at the company. Reichig was previously principal at In-Focus Media Consulting.

Mark Zoradi, president of the motion pictures group as Disney, is leaving the company after 29 years. Zoradi has held a number of positions at Disney, and was most recently in charge of worldwide marketing and distribution for movies made by Walt Disney Studios, Pixar Animation Studios and Disneynature.
