Forstmann Little & Co. has added former HBO CEO and chairman Chris Albrecht as partner, where he will team with Ted Forstmann and lead the global media business for the IMG sports and entertainment company. Albrecht left HBO earlier this year after receiving a year of probation as part of a plea bargain after being charged with battery against his girlfriend in Las Vegas.

Scripps Networks has promoted David Arroyo to vice president of legal affairs. Arroyo joined Scripps in 2004, managing the company's litigation matters pertaining to international trademarks, idea theft, trademark infringement, employment discrimination, bankruptcy and commercial litigation.

Independent Film Channel has hired Craig Parks as vice president of branded entertainment and business development, joining from Rainbow Media Holdings, where he was an executive producer and creative director of special projects. IFC has also promoted Lauren Burack to vice president of event marketing and promotions.

TNT has added Annie Potts to the cast of "Family Man," opposite William H. Macy. Brendan Sexton, Sean O'Bryan and Jennifer Aspen have also been added to the cast.

HBO has cast Drew Barrymore and Jessica Lange to star in its movie adaptation of "Grey Gardens," a documentary from 1975 about the cousin and aunt of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis.



Caroline Devine, regional vice president and Houston market manager for Cox Radio, is retiring at the end of the year. Succeeding her in Houston will be Mark Krieschen, currently vice president and general manager, and taking over her responsibility for Cox stations in Honolulu will be regional VP Ben Reed.

D&R Radio Sales has hired Jason Wilberding as vice president and director of sales, where he will manage the company's Los Angeles office. Wilberding was previously vice president and director of sales at Spanish Broadcasting System.

ESPN Radio has signed Mike Tirico to host “The Mike Tirico Show,” a daily three-hour show starting Sept. 20. Tirico is currently the play-by-play man on "Monday Night Football."


MediZine has hired Mary Ann Kim as senior marketing manager of brand services. Kim, who will work with platform programs including Healthy Living and Diabetes Focus, was previously director of partnership marketing at AWE.

The Parenting Group has hired Elizabeth Anne Shaw and Dawn Roode as executive editor and manager editor, respectively, at Babytalk magazine. Shaw joins from Self, where she oversaw the magazine's special annual health sections, while Roode was managing editor at Child.

New York magazine has appointed Duff McDonald contributing editor, starting with features and items about business and Wall Street. McDonald has worked for New York previously as a freelancer.


Fox has signed Christian Hoff onto the cast of its comedy project "Hackett." Hoff will play the vice principal of the high school.



Advertising agency Moroch has hired eight new employees: Heidi Baumer as senior account supervisor; Melinda Spratley as marketing communications senior account executive; Nikki Curry as media planner; Anne Barrett, Sarah Rodriguez, Ashley Zillo and Mollie Glazer as account coordinators; and Jordan McFall as media assistant.


Patrick Communications has upped Greg Guy to managing partner from his previous position as vice president. Guy will join company owners and managing partners Larry and Susan Patrick. The company has also hired Todd Wirth as a broker and vice president and Jason James as a research analyst.

CBS Records has named Larry Jenkins executive vice president and general manager. In his new role, Jenkins will oversee the label's strategic direction and day-to-day business operations.
