Sally Daws has been promoted to senior vice president of marketing at FX, putting her in charge of national media planning, promotions and digital marketing. Daws was previously a vice president, working on “Nip/Tuck” and other shows.
Social media network Bebo has named Kelly Brett head of original productions, after she spent the past year working on the site’s original series “KateModern.” Before that, Brett worked on more than 20 TV productions for the BBC, Sky and other networks.
Josh Ozersky has been named New York senior editor at CitySearch.com, effective Sept. 15. Ozersky will join from NYMag.com, where he’s online food editor.
Interep’s CBS Radio Sales has added Marna Spizz as vice president of strategic development, working out of the company’s Chicago office. For the past eight years Spizz had been running her own residential brokerage firm in Illinois.
Trade magazine publisher Questex Media Group has named Gideon Dean executive vice president of the travel media group, which includes the titles Travel Agent, Luxury Travel Advisor and Home-based Travel, as well as various web sites. Dean had most recently been senior vice president of global hospitality sales and marketing at TIG Global.
The Chicago Tribune has named Jane Hirt managing editor, plucking her from the paper’s RedEye edition, for which she was editor. The Tribune has also promoted Bill Adee from associate managing editor for innovation to editor of digital media and Joycelyn Winnecke from associate managing editor of national news to associate editor.
Los Angeles Times Tokyo bureau chief Bruce Wallace has changed roles at the newspaper, moving to the foreign editor position. Also at the paper, William Heisel has moved from investigative reporter to business reporter.
Writer Dave McIntyre is joining the Washington Post as a contributing wine columnist, effective in October. McIntyre currently holds a similar position at The Washingtonian.
MediaVest USA has promoted Yaakov Kimelfeld to senior vice president and director of digital research and analytics, up from his previous position as vice president. Jennifer Stebner has also been promoted from vice president to senior vice president and group client director. The agency has also promoted nine to vice president positions: Kelly Burke and Kristin Multer to VPs and digital associate directors; Marie Casimir to VP and connections director; Jennifer Chatham to VP and print activation director; Eric Goldberg and Dan Kern to VPs and connections associate directors; Kerry O’Sullivan to VP and director of connections research and analytics; Megan Riley to VP and connections group director; and Samantha Voisin to VP and digital director.
Grey Group has named Alain Groenendaal president and chief executive officer of Winglatino, its Hispanic-focused agency in Miami. Groenendaal had been general manager of another Miami agency, La Comunidad.
TBWA/Chiat/Day New York has named Rob Baird creative director, reporting to chief operating officer Mark Figliulo. Baird had been art director at Mother in New York.
Digital marketing agency Critical Mass has named Erik Thrane group account director, working out of the agency’s Toronto office. Thrane was previously senior vice president and interactive business director at Publicis.
Quantcast, an audience measurement company, has named Todd Teresi chief revenue officer, where he’ll help launch new solutions for clients. Teresi had spent the past 10 years at Yahoo as senior vice president of Yahoo! Publisher Network.
