Starz Entertainment has promoted Nancy McGee to executive vice president of marketing, adding marketing of all live-action television productions to her duties. McGee’s previous title was senior vice president.
Soccer-focused GolTV has named Ivan Perez vice president of network advertising sales, where he’ll lead all of the company’s sales initiatives. Perez was previously vice president and director of ad sales for Azteca America.
Chris Worden has been named editor of Motocross.com, taking over for the departed Brendan Lutes. Worden was previously a web editor for Cycle World magazine.
Warner Bros. Television has promoted senior vice presidents of business affairs Adam Glick and Dan Limerick, naming them co-heads of the company’s business affairs department. Crystal Morales has also been promoted to vice president of business affairs, up from her position as director.
CBS News has named Anthony Batson senior producer for “The Early Show,” effective Sept. 22. Batson has worked for eight years on “48 Hours Mystery” and also produced the online series “Countdown to ‘Jericho.’”
American Public Television has named Martin Savidge anchor of “Worldfocus,” a half-hour public TV newscast premiering on Oct. 6. Savidge was previously with NBC News, where he contributed to “Nightly News” and on MSNBC and CNBC.
CBS has signed actress Sophina Brown as a regular on its Friday night drama “Numb3rs,” where she’ll play an ex-cop with a law degree. The new season of “Numb3rs” kicks off on Oct. 3.
Jason Mesnick, who was rejected by DeAnna Pappas after proposing to her on the season finale of ABC’s “The Bachelorette,” will star in the upcoming season of “The Bachelor.” Mesnick lost out to Jesse Csincsak on “The Bachelorette,” who’s still engaged to Pappas.
MediaCom Worldwide has named Stephen Allan chairman and chief executive officer, replacing Alexander Schmidt-Vogel, who becomes global trading CEO at GroupM Worldwide. Allan was previously CEO of GroupM UK.
Draftfcb London has named Andy Day design director at the agency, effective Oct. 6. Day is currently head of creative at Naked Communications.
Digital marketing agency imc² has named Bob Lukasik vice president and group creative director, reporting to executive creative director Alan Schulman. Lukasik joins from G2 Interactive, where he was executive creative director.
Adam Sher has been named chief executive officer of Ryan Seacrest Productions, which right now is working on projects for NBC and E!, among other networks. Sher was previously an agent at William Morris.
Jack C. Landau, who helped form the Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press, died at age 74 earlier this month in Arlington, Va., although no cause of death has been given. Among other things, Landau created a hotline for reporters looking for legal advice and started Press Censorship Newsletter, which later morphed into the quarterly magazine The News Media & The Law.
