Paris Hilton is out of jail after serving just a few days of her 23-day sentence. Despite a judge's ruling that Hilton would not be allowed to serve out her sentence using electronic monitoring in lieu of jail, a Los Angeles County sheriff's spokesman said she was released early this morning because of unspecified medical troubles and she will serve the remainder of her sentence, which has been upped to 40 days, at home with an electronic monitoring bracelet. The 26-year-old hotel heiress was serving her sentence in a solo cell at the Century Regional Detention Facility in suburban Los Angeles for violating probation in an alcohol-related reckless driving case. According to E!, where Hilton’s “Simple Life” reality show airs, she was doing sit-ups to pass the time.
