Barbara Cox Anthony, co-owner of Cox Enterprises Inc., died Monday following an extended illness. The 84-year-old was the daughter of the Atlanta-based company founder and three-time Ohio governor James M. Cox. She was chairman of Dayton Newspapers and member of Cox Enterprises' board of directors. Cox newspapers include The Atlanta Journal-Constitution and The Palm Beach Post and have a combined circulation of more than 1 million. The company also owns multiple television and radio stations as well as cable TV services.
Tribune Publishing has named Howard Greenberg president and chief executive officer of the Sun Sentinel Company, as well as publisher of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel. Greenberg succeeds Robert Gremillion, who has risen to executive vice president of Tribune Publishing.
