According to several reports today, Court TV CEO Henry Schleiff is out at the network, which is being integrated into Time Warner's Turner networks. Schleiff joined Court TV in 1998, and hes presided over a period of growth for the network.
Laura Molen has spiked up to vice president and national sales manager of Spike TV, responsible for managing the networks integrated solutions team and overseeing national sales efforts involving Spikes nascent Get More Action brand. Molen has been with the network since 2003.
HGTV DIY and GAC Research has upped two employees: Julie Link rises to research director, in charge of managing DIY brand research and offering research project management support to Fine Living brand; and Robin Pate rises to research director, responsible for managing research for both HGTV and GAC brands.
Telemundo has added Dave Matthews as senior business development director, overseeing the network's station group offices across the U.S. and Mexico. Most recently Matthews was the director of national accounts for Ad Conexcion, dealing with ad strategy for Spanish-language cable.
NBC Universal has hired David Vogler as director of strategic marketing, in charge of cross-company strategic marketing initiatives. Matthew Evans has also been added to the marketing team.
XM Radio CEO Hugh Panero is headed to court, the subject of a lawsuit claiming that he deliberately misled shareholders about the satellite providers capacity to reduce expenses surrounding the addition of new customers. The group of investors suing Panero allege that he sold a large portion of his shares while making false statements.
Soon Howard Stern will be accessible at work. Sirius Radio subscribers will now be able to access shock jock Stern via the internet starting this June. Right now, Sirius offers 67 of their channels, including Martha Stewarts, for web streaming. Subscribers will get both of Sterns too midway through next month. Stern has been Sirius major horse, bringing in thousands of new subscribers since he began broadcasting in January.
Parade has named Janice Kaplan executive editor, the No. 2 position at the magazine, effective immediately. Kaplan has been deputy editor of TV Guide magazine, executive producer of the TV Guide Television Group, a columnist at Seventeen Magazine and a contributing editor at Vogue.
There are two new editors at Rodales Womens Health: Liesa Goins is now beauty and health editor and Jenny Everett is fitness editor. Goins was formerly senior editor at Allure and a senior associate editor at Mens Health. Everett comes over from Popular Science.
Desperate Housewives will add two new disruptive characters into the mix next season, played by Julie White and Kiersten Warren. In a juicy bit, Warrens character will come between Lynette and Tom. White has completed filming upcoming films Michael Clayton" and "The Astronaut Farmer" while Warren is in the soon-to-be-released Hoot.
Paul Speaker has been named the first-ever president of Time4 Entertainment, a production startup supporting Time Inc. multimedia division Time4 Medias video, film, and TV capabilities. Speaker was formerly president of RKO Pictures.
IDT Entertainment has added Marc DeBevoise as senior vice president of business development and strategy and Paul Campbell as senior vice president of publicity and promotion.
PBS weekly program Real Simple has named Ilene Saul-Richardson executive producer. Real Simples motto is Life Made Easier, and it offers viewers ideas on how to make household chores, organizing and lifeskills more effective.
