Rainbow Advertising Sales Corporation, which handles ad sales for parent company Rainbow Media Holdings, has named Allison Clarke vice president of national advertising sales for WE tv. Clarke was previously ad sales director for Bravo.

Comcast Spotlight, Comcast Cable’s ad sales division, has made three promotions, moving Dana Runnells to senior director of communications, Chris Ellis to director of communications and Scott Eifert to director of strategic marketing.

Chris Eames has joined ESPN as vice president of multimedia sales, where he’ll head the company’s new Atlanta sales office. Eames was formerly with Turner Entertainment.

The Documentary Channel has named James J. Ackerman chairman of the board, helping with overall business development. Ackerman will work closely with CEO and founder Tom Neff.




Rodale has promoted Chris Lambiase to vice president and group publisher for running and cycling magazines, effective May 12. Lambiase joined Rodale in 2004 as vice president and publishing director of Bicycling.

Entrepreneur Media has integrated its media sales teams, promoting Bob Kelly to vice president and publishing director. The move also means that Justin Koenigsberger becomes director of advertising sales.

Jordana Pransky becomes VP and ad director at Travel + Leisure
Travel + Leisure magazine has named Jordana Pransky vice president and advertising director, effective Monday. Pransky previously held the same position at Food & Wine magazine.

BusinessWeek has hired Richard Confrey as New York regional advertising director, reporting to regional ad sales director Louis Tosto. Confrey had been multimedia sales director and institutional finance advertising director at the Wall Street Journal.


Alejandra Puesan has been promoted to director of research at NBC’s Local Media Division, the network’s owned-and-operated stations. Puesan will also handle research for NBC, Telemundo and NBC Local Media’s digital and out-of-home operations.

The CW has added two to the cast of its highly anticipated “Beverly Hills, 90210” spinoff, Shenae Grimes as Annie Mills and Lori Loughlin as her mother, Celia. Grimes is a former cast member of “Degrassi: The Next Generation,” while Loughlin is best known from “Full House” and “Summerland.”

“Saturday Night Live” cast member Amy Poehler and her husband, Will Arnett, are expecting their first child sometime this fall. The couple were married back in 2003.

Former Baltimore Ravens head coach Brian Billick, who led his team to a Super Bowl championship during his tenure, has joined Fox as an NFL game analyst for the 2008 season. Billick’s play-by-play partner is still to be determined.


The New York Daily News’ Gatecrasher column has served its last scoop. Author Ben Widdicombe signed off in a final column yesterday, telling Gawker.com, “lately I’ve developed a peculiar attitude towards scandal—with some of the items that have crossed my desk I’ve thought, ‘This really isn’t any of my business.’ Which is problematic for a professional gossip columnist.”


MediaCom’s digital division Beyond Interaction has named Stacey Deziel director of client services, where she’ll help integrate the client teams of the two branches. Deziel was previously executive vice president and media director for FCBi, the digital division of DraftFCB.

Marketing agency Trailer Park has named Rick Eiserman CEO, with the goal of increasing the company’s content production. Eiserman was previously North American managing partner at Young & Rubicam Brands.
