Primedia Inc. has made Keith Belknap general counsel for its Consumer Guides segment. In his new position, Belknap will manage legal matters for the division and provide counsel on general governance issues. Before joining Primedia, Belknap had been principal counsel at Georgia-Pacific Corp.

Fox has cast Alanna Ubach in its upcoming comedy pilot "Playing Chicken." Ubach will play the physical therapist of a young man who becomes a paraplegic after an accident and is now forced to live with his very opposite-minded brother. Ubach's recent television credits include guest appearances on "House" and "The Closer."
The CW has cast Anna Chlumsky in the lead role of its comedy pilot "Eight Days a Week," which follows four twentysomething top executives in New York City. Chlumsky, who starred in "My Girl" and "My Girl 2" as a child, has made recent guest appearances on "30 Rock" and "Law & Order."
ABC has signed Jennifer Coolidge and Alan Ruck to star in its comedy pilot "Family of the Year." Coolidge ("Legally Blonde," "American Dreamz") and Ruck ("Spin City") will play the parents in a family that has won the titular contest in their hometown for 10 years running.
