Oxygen Media has named Cynthia Chu vice president and chief financial officer, where she will oversee the financial and operational performance of Oxygen. Chu joins from NBCU's local media division, where she was most recently director of sales finance.

Buena Vista Productions has named Ann Lewis Roberts senior vice president, and SOAPnet has made her senior vice president of alternative programming and development. SOAPnet and ABC Daytime have also named Adam Rockmore senior vice president of marketing.

Cox Media Hampton Roads has promoted Lisa S. Parker to regional sales manager for the division. Parker will oversee the activities of the regional sales staff.

Food Network has promoted Carrie Welch to vice president of public relations. In this new role, she will supervise all internal and external communications activities, as well as negotiate and seek out new opportunities to integrate new media partners into the network's series and events.

Comcast Spotlight has promoted Jonathan M. Bernard to director of automotive advertising sales, a newly created position. Bernard will oversee the local, regional and national automotive sales teams.

Tony Rock, brother of comedian Chris Rock, is launching a new standup series called "The Funny Spot." The show will premiere Jan. 19 on TV One, serving to spotlight new talent.


The Wikimedia Foundation has named Erik Moeller deputy director, where he will head up development and execution of technical strategy and specific initiatives and projects. Moeller had been active editor of the Wikimedia Foundation's projects since 2001.

EA Casual Entertainment has hired John Buchanan as senior director of new horizons and Sarah Handley as director of kids. Buchanan will head up the group that develops games and explores online opportunities, while Handley will grow the kids' games market share and evaluate and choose licenses for acquisition.



American Express Publishing Corporation has promoted Sean M. Giancola to vice president of corporate sales. Giancola will be succeeded in his old role as vice president and associate publisher at Travel + Leisure Golf magazine by Ron Mulliken.

Food & Wine has named Jay Meyer associate publisher. Meyer had been vice president of corporate sales at American Express Publishing Corporation.


ABC News has rehired Lee Kamlet as head writer for "World News Tonight." Kamlet previously worked as a producer for the show before moving to NBC's "Dateline."

Fox Broadcasting has hired Brian Owens as vice president of marketing strategy and analytics. Owens, who joins from Nestle U.S.A., will analyze, evaluate and recommend short- and long-term strategic marketing efforts and brand strategy.




NASCAR has upped Norris Scott to managing director of partnership marketing, where he will oversee both the partnership marketing and business solutions departments.
