National CNN correspondent David Mattingly is joining "Anderson Cooper 360" as a regular contributor. Since joining CNN in 1992, Mattingly has covered stories all across the U.S., including the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans.

Fox Sports en Espanol has upped Lisa Weinstein-Scholtes and Paul Laureano to director and manager of integrated sales and marketing, respectively. Laureano and Weinstein-Scholtes will now oversee fulfillment of several new integrated sales deals, including a partnership with El Reto Final Nissan 2.

Current TV has hired Joshua Katz as president of marketing. Reporting to network co-founder and chief executive Joel Hyatt, Katz will now head up Current TV's global marketing initiatives and take charge of all its off-channel communications and on-air promotions.


Forbes.com has named John Weisgerber group advertising director of Forbes.com, joining the newly appointed chief advertising officer Kevin Gentzel's team. In his new role, Weisgerber will be charged with managing advertising sales for the Southeast, Boston and Detroit territories. In addition, Forbes.com has made Pat Dignan advertising director of ForbesAutos.com, where he will work exclusively on sales efforts and adding new categories to the advertiser base.

Bonneville International, a media company with properties in Chicago, Washington, D.C., St. Louis and other cities, has upped Andrew Bunker to director of internet technology. Bunker, who has been working with Bonneville's web operations for two years, will now head up the company's internet technology team as part of its growing new media operations. Bonneville has also added Brian Hoopes to its new media team as web and systems developer, reporting to Bunker.

Internet Broadcasting , a national platform of TV station web sites, has upped Clayton Rose to executive vice president of business and corporate development. Rose will head up the expansion of the company's national advertisements and oversee its business development.


Sporting News Radio has tapped Bill Pugh as program director, taking charge of SNR as it finishes moving from Northbrook, Ill., to Los Angeles. Pugh will now oversee all content initiatives for SNR while working closely with the print and online divisions of Sporting News. Before joining SNR, Pugh was vice president of programming for The Broadcast Companies of America.


Esquire has hired Marcia Kline as associate publisher of advertising, effective Jan. 16. Kline, who had been at Conde Nast for 11 years, most recently as publisher of CondeNet, will be replacing Jeffrey Ahl.


NBC Universal Television Networks Distribution has promoted Henry Ahn to executive vice president, effective immediately. Ahn, who had been senior vice president of affiliate sales for NBCU Cable, will now oversee all sales and sales support and work to serve digital products to the company's customers.


Linda Austin has joined the Lexington-Herald-Leader as the new editor and vice president. Austin had been executive editor of The News-Sentinel since 2003, and has also worked as an assistant editor for the Dallas Times Herald.


Mediaedge:cia has hired Cari Weissberg as senior partner and group director for MEC Interaction. In this new role, Weissberg will oversee the company's Cadbury Schweppes account. Previously she had worked as vice president and director of digital strategy at Universal McCann.

CMD, a multidisciplinary marketing agency, has named Jon Lee managing director of brand strategy, currently working with the rebranding of an as-yet unannounced client. Lee joins CMD from his brand development firm, Jon Lee + Associates, Inc.

Jumpstart Automotive Media has hired Jocelyn Wong in the newly created position of West Coast sales manager. Wong had previously been an account executive at IGN/Fox Interactive Media.

Carat Fusion, a digital-marketing agency, has upped Paul Santello to executive vice president and Western region managing director. Carat has also promoted John Cate to senior vice president and general manager of the San Francisco office, while Michael Soh has risen to general manager of the Los Angeles office.


Iwao Takamoto, a former Disney animator who worked on features like "Cinderella" and "Peter Pan," died yesterday of heart failure at the age of 81. Despite his work on Disney pictures like "Lady and the Tramp," Takamoto is most remembered for his creation of the character of Scooby-Doo and for his direction of the 1973 film of "Charlotte's Web."
