Library officials in two southern
Mississippi counties aren’t amused by Jon
Stewart’s foray into publishing. Jackson and George counties
have banned his best-selling
"America (The Book)" over the satirical textbook's nude depictions of
the nine U.S. Supreme Court justices. Robert
Willits, director of the region’s library system, said that
one picture has kept him from circulating the book. Wal-Mart has
also refused to add the book to its shelves. The offending page
features the faces of the justices superimposed over naked bodies
with paper-doll cutouts of their robes.
