Best bet on broadcast: CW, "Nikita," 8 p.m. In a new timeslot, Nikita attempts to capture the new president of Uzbekistan, who used to be an undercover Division agent.
Best bet on cable: E!, "Fashion Police," 10 p.m. A look back at some of the show's most memorable moments in its 100th episode.
Top sporting event: Fox, "College Football," 8 p.m. The winner goes to the Rose Bowl as No. 8 Stanford takes on No. 16 UCLA in the Pac-12 championship game.
SATURDAY
Best bet on broadcast: NBC, "It's a Wonderful Life," 8 p.m. The classic 1946 holiday film in which Jimmy Stewart plays a banker who finds out what life would be like had he never been born.
Best bet on cable: MTV, "I'm Positive," 7 p.m. A new documentary following young people who are HIV positive.
Top sporting event: CBS, "College Football," 4 p.m. In what's essentially a national semifinal, No. 2 Alabama faces No. 3 Georgia in the SEC title game for a shot at Notre Dame in the BCS national championship.
SUNDAY
Best bet on broadcast: CBS, "The Amazing Race," 8:30 p.m. The racers travel through Mallorca, Spain.
Best bet on cable: HBO, "Boardwalk Empire," 9 p.m. Season finale. Nucky tries to regain control of Atlantic City, while Chalky and Capone team up against Masseria.
Top sporting event: NBC, "Sunday Night Football," 8:20 p.m. NFC East rivalry game between two struggling teams, the Eagles and Cowboys.
