Top sporting event: ESPN, "NBA Basketball," 8 p.m. The defending NBA champion Miami Heat take on the Knicks in New York.
SATURDAY
Best bet on broadcast: NBC, "Saturday Night Live," 11:30 p.m. Should be an entertaining pre-election episode with comedian Louis C.K. hosting, with musical guest Fun.
Best bet on cable: Lifetime, "The Eleventh Victim," 8 p.m. An assistant district attorney-turned-therapist searches for a serial killer who is murdering her clients.
Top sporting event: CBS, "College Football," 8 p.m. National championship implications as No. 5 LSU hosts No. 1 Alabama.
SUNDAY
Best bet on broadcast: Fox, "The X Factor," 8 p.m. The finalists are revealed in a special Sunday edition.
Best bet on cable: Bravo, "The Real Housewives of Atlanta," 9 p.m. Season premiere. Former Miss USA winner Kenya Moore and NFL wife Porsha Stewart join the cast.
Top sporting event: NBC, "Sunday Night Football," 8:20 p.m. Good NFC matchup between the Dallas Cowboys and the league's only remaining undefeated team, the Atlanta Falcons.
