FRIDAY

Best bet on broadcast: ABC, “TV’s All-Time Funniest,” 8 p.m. Ranking the most amusing sitcom characters of all time, across several categories.

Best bet on cable: ABC Family, “Love Don’t Cost a Thing,” 8 p.m. Who would have thought anyone would ever want to remake the 1980s film “Can’t Buy Me Love?” Of course, who would have thought “Cost” star Nick Cannon would run off with Mariah Carey four years after making the movie?

Top sporting event: ESPN, “NBA Playoffs: Los Angeles Lakers at Utah Jazz,” 9 p.m. NBA MVP Kobe Bryant and his Lakers look to build on their 2-0 Western Conference semifinals lead.

SATURDAY

Best bet on broadcast: NBC, “Saturday Night Live,” 11:30 p.m. Shia LaBeouf, co-star of the upcoming sure-to-be-blockbuster “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull,” hosts.

Best bet on cable: Sundance Channel, “Big Girl’s Blouse,” 9 p.m. Series premiere. Want to see a sneak preview of NBC’s upcoming “Kath & Kim,” based on the popular Australian series? This is the show where the characters got their start.

Top sporting event: Fox, “Dodge Challenger 500,” 7 p.m. Jeff Gordon has finished first or second in the race the last three years.

SUNDAY

Best bet on broadcast: CBS, “Survivor: Micronesia,” 8 p.m. Season finale. The three-hour event in which the latest winner is chosen and the rest of the survivors bash him or her at the reunion special.

Best bet on cable: Comedy Central, “Legally Blonde,” 8 p.m. Nice bit of corporate synergy: Viacom’s MTV will soon kick off a reality show looking for the next woman to play Elle Woods in the Broadway version of this movie.

Top sporting event: Versus, “NHL Playoffs: Philadelphia Flyers at Pittsburgh Penguins,” 8 p.m. Game two of the intra-state Eastern Conference finals.
