FRIDAY

Best bet on broadcast
: CBS, “Numb3rs,” 10 p.m. Season finale. Cast member Diane Farr is leaving. So how will the show get her character, Megan Reeves, off the air?

Best bet on cable: AMC, “In the Line of Fire,” 8 p.m. Clint Eastwood and John Malkovich match wits in this modern-classic 1993 thriller.

Top sporting event: ESPN, “NBA Playoffs: Boston Celtics at Cleveland Cavaliers,” 8 p.m. After finishing with the league’s best record, Boston is one win away from joining the Detroit Pistons in the Eastern Conference finals.

SATURDAY

Best bet on broadcast
: Fox, “Mad TV,” 11 p.m. Season finale. Dave Navarro guests on the 13th-season ender.

Best bet on cable: Lifetime, “Dark Beauty,” 9 p.m. Original movie. Suddenly hot Elizabeth Berkley (Bravo’s “Step it Up and Dance,” CBS’s “CSI: Miami”) stars as a suspected black widow.

Top sporting event: NBC, “NHL Playoffs: Dallas Stars at Detroit Red Wings,” 1:30 p.m. The Red Wings have a 3-1 series lead and will make the Stanley Cup finals with a victory this afternoon.

SUNDAY

Best bet on broadcast
: ABC, “Desperate Housewives,” 9 p.m. Season finale. There are rumors of a game-changing ending twist, a la last season’s “Lost.” No, the women don’t end up on an island, but a Jack-like beard isn’t out of the question for some of the men.

Best bet on cable: Sci Fi, “Mystery of the Crystal Skulls,” 9 p.m. Apparently next week’s “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull” is based in fact. Or at least legend. Lester Holt investigates.

Top sporting event: ABC, “Indianapolis 500 Time Trials,” 1 p.m. ABC is expecting a big crowd for the race this year, what with Danica Patrick’s recent IRL victory.
