FRIDAY

Best bet on broadcast: NBC, “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” 11:35 p.m. John Cusack and Heidi Montag guest, and Barenaked Ladies perform.

Best bet on cable: Nickelodeon, “Big Time Rush,” 8:30 p.m. The guys try to get Griffin to produce their CD so they can stay in Los Angeles.

Top sporting event
: CBS, “College Basketball,” 7 p.m. Top seeds Duke and Syracuse take the floor in the NCAA tournament.

SATURDAY

Best bet on broadcast: NBC, “Saturday Night Live,” 11:30 p.m. Re-airing of an episode hosted by “Avatar” star Sigourney Weaver, with music from the Ting Tings.

Best bet on cable: Hallmark Channel, “Healing Hands,” 9 p.m. Eddie Cibrian plays a janitor who receives healing powers after a near-death experience.

Top sporting event: ESPN2, “Women’s College Basketball,” 12 p.m. Today the women begin their quest for NCAA tournament glory.

SUNDAY

Best bet on broadcast: ABC, “Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution,” 10 p.m. A preview of the series featuring Oliver as he tries to help people fix their busted eating habits.

Best bet on cable: Discovery Channel, TLC, Animal Planet, Science Channel, Investigation Discovery, Planet Green and Discovery Health Channel, “Life,” 8 p.m. Series premiere. A new Oprah Winfrey-narrated miniseries in the vein of “Planet Earth.” Not sure it's getting enough exposure, though.

Top sporting event: CBS, “College Basketball,” 12 p.m. Should be some good second-round matchups as the field is whittled to 16.
