sink in second week ABC's 'Japanese Game Show' off 16 percent in 18-49s Jul 2, 2008 The broadcast networks launched three new game shows last week, and last night two of them saw big declines in their second outing. Similarly, ABC’s “I Survived a Japanese Game Show” fell 16 percent week-to-week, from a 3.1 to a 2.6. The third new show last week, ABC’s "Wipeout,” was relatively unaffected by the second-week slump. The 8 p.m. game posted a 3.5 rating last night, down less than 3 percent from last week’s 3.6. NBC finished first in 18-49s with a 2.8 average overnight rating and a 9 share. Fox was second at 2.7/9, ABC third at 2.7/8, Univision fourth at 1.6/5, CBS fifth at 1.5/5 and CW sixth at 0.4/1. At 8 p.m. ABC was first with a 3.5 for “Wipeout,” followed by NBC with a 1.9 for “Celebrity Family Feud.” Fox was third that hour with a 1.8 for “The Moment of Truth,” Univision fourth with a 1.7 for “Al Diablo con los Guapos,” CBS fifth with a 1.3 for a repeat of “NCIS” and CW sixth with a 0.4 for a “Beauty and the Geek” rerun. Fox took the lead at 9 p.m. with a 3.6 for “Hell’s Kitchen,” while NBC moved to second with a 3.0 for the first hour of “America’s Got Talent.” ABC was third with a 2.6 for “I Survived a Japanese Game Show,” CBS and Univision tied for fourth at 1.7, CBS for “48 Hours Mystery” and Univision for “Fuego en la Sangre,” and CW was sixth with a 0.5 for a repeat of “Reaper.” At 10 p.m. NBC jumped to first place with a 3.5 for the second half of “Talent,” with ABC second with a 2.1 for “Primetime.” Univision and CBS tied for third at 1.5, Univision for “Aqui y Ahora” and CBS for a repeat of “Without a Trace.” NBC also finished first for the night among households, finishing with a 6.6 average overnight rating and an 11 share. CBS was second at 5.3/9, ABC third at 4.2/7, Fox fourth at 4.0/7, Univision fifth at 2.0/4 and CW sixth at 0.7/1.
