In its third episode, the new NBC drama "Parenthood" fell a bit more last night, meaning it will be at least another week before NBC sees where it stabilizes.

"Parenthood" averaged a 2.3 adults 18-49 rating at 10 p.m. last night, according to Nielsen, down 12 percent from a 2.6 last week on a night where every single Big Four show was off from the previous week, likely owing in part to the daylight savings effect that has hurt ratings the past few nights.

"Parenthood" was off 26 percent from the series premiere two weeks ago, which averaged a 3.1 and won its timeslot.

Last night's episode finished 0.4 behind CBS's "The Good Wife," though well ahead of ABC's "FlashForward" recap show.

"Parenthood," which received generally good reviews from TV critics, may have been hurt by a weaker lead-in this week. "The Biggest Loser" slid 10 percent from last week's episode, from a 3.0 to a 2.7.

Still, "Parenthood" is pacing ahead of what former timeslot occupant "The Jay Leno Show" averaged earlier this year.

Fox finished first for the night among viewers 18-49 with an 8.0 average overnight rating and a 22 share. CBS was second at 3.1/9, NBC third at 2.6/7, ABC fourth at 2.2/6, Univision fifth at 1.4/4 and CW sixth at 0.7/2.

As a reminder, all ratings are based on live-plus-same-day DVR playback. Seven-day DVR data won’t be available for several weeks. Thirty-six percent of Nielsen households have DVRs.

At 8 p.m. Fox was first with a 7.5 for the first half of “American Idol,” followed by CBS with a season-low 3.4 for “NCIS.” NBC was third with a 2.4 for “Loser,” Univision fourth with a 1.8 for “Hasta que el Dinero Nos Separe,” ABC fifth with a 1.2 for a repeat of “Lost” and CW sixth with a 0.9 for “90210,” up 13 percent from last week.

Fox led again at 9 p.m. with an 8.4 for more “Idol,” while ABC moved to second with a season-low 3.8 for a new “Lost.” CBS was third with a 3.2 for “NCIS: Los Angeles,” NBC fourth with a 3.1 for another hour of “Loser,” Univision fifth with a 1.3 for “Corazon Salvaje” and CW sixth with a 0.6 for “Melrose Place.”

CBS took the lead at 10 p.m. with a 2.7 for “Wife,” with NBC second with a 2.3 for “Parenthood.” ABC was third with a 1.6 for the “FlashForward” recap and Univision fourth with a 1.0 for “Aqui y Ahora.”

Fox also led the night among households with a 12.8 average overnight rating and a 20 share. CBS was second at 9.6/16, NBC third at 4.3/7, ABC fourth at 3.5/6, Univision fifth at 1.8/3 and CW sixth at 1.0/2.
