Holiday feasts are still a few days away, but CBS got some mileage last night out of leftovers. The network’s night of reruns lifted it to No. 1 on the evening despite airing opposite fresh fare on three of the other four Big Five networks.

CBS was first for the night among viewers 18-49 with a 2.7 average rating and an 8 share, according to Nielsen overnights. It had the night’s two highest-rated shows, “Criminal Minds” and “CSI: NY,” but both were actually reruns.

The third night of the multi-night events “Duel” on ABC and “Clash of the Choirs” on NBC continued to chug along with low but steady ratings. Game show “Duel” averaged a 2.2, about even to its previous outings, while reality program “Choirs” drew a 2.4, the same as its Monday and Tuesday ratings.

The CW had an all-original lineup, but it finished sixth for the evening among its target adults 18-34 with the new reality show “Crowned: The Mother of All Pageants” drawing a mere 0.8 at 8 p.m. “Gossip Girl” improved to a 1.0 at 9 p.m. but was still sixth in the slot.

For the evening, NBC was second at 2.2/6, Fox third at 1.9/5, ABC fourth at 1.7/5, Univision fifth at 1.3/4 and CW sixth at 0.8/2.

At 8 p.m. NBC led with a 2.3 for its first hour of “Choirs,” while ABC and CBS tied for second at 2.2, ABC for “Duel” and CBS for reruns of the specials “Frosty the Snowman” and “Frosty Returns.” Fox was fourth with a 1.7 for repeats of “Back to You” and “Til Death,” Univision fifth with a 1.4 for “Amar sin Limites” and CW sixth with a 0.8 for “Crowned.”

CBS led at 9 p.m. with a 2.9 for a repeat of “Minds,” followed by NBC with a 2.5 for the second half of “Choirs.” Fox was third with a 2.1 for a repeat of “Kitchen Nightmares,” ABC fourth with a 1.7 for a repeat of “Private Practice,” Univision fifth with a 1.5 for “Pasion” and CW sixth with a 0.8 for “Girl.”

At 10 p.m. CBS led again with a 2.9 for “CSI: NY,” with NBC second with a 1.7 for “Journeyman.” ABC and Univision tied for third at 1.2, ABC for “A Holiday Celebration at Ford’s Theater” and Univision for “Don Francisco Presenta.”

CBS also finished first for the night among households, averaging a 6.5 overnight rating and an 11 share. NBC was second at 4.6/8, ABC third at 4.1/7, Fox fourth at 3.2/5, Univision fifth at 1.7/3 and CW sixth at 1.3/2.
