CBS’s Tuesday 10 p.m. curse has struck again. The latest show to take over the troubled timeslot debuted with a clunk last night, becoming the third program this year to struggle and one of many since the cancellation of “Judging Amy” three years ago.

Reality show “Secret Talents of the Stars” averaged a 1.5 adults 18-49 rating, according to Nielsen overnights, barely ahead of fourth-place Univision’s 1.3 in the timeslot.

“Stars” mustered a mere 4.6 million total viewers, worse than the most recent tune-ins for the Jimmy Smits drama “Cane,” which began last fall in the timeslot, or the recently canceled “Jericho,” which wrapped up its stint in the timeslot two weeks ago.

“Talents” showcases B-list celebrities’ hidden talents, such as tap dancing or singing. It is set for a seven-week run.

Elsewhere last night, Fox’s “American Idol” slipped to a season low for the third straight week, while NBC’s “The Biggest Loser” delivered its best rating in 13 weeks, as two shows beat the results portion of ABC’s hit “Dancing with the Stars” in the reality-heavy 9 p.m. timeslot.

Fox was first for the night among viewers 18-49 with a 7.2 average overnight rating and an 18 share. NBC was second at 3.4/9, ABC third at 2.5/6, CBS fourth at 2.3/6, Univision fifth at 1.8/5 and CW sixth at 0.7/2.

At 8 p.m. Fox was first with an 8.9 rating for “Idol,” followed by NBC with a 3.1 for the first half of “Loser.” CBS was third with a 2.9 for the return of an original “NCIS,” Univision fourth with a 2.2 for “Al Diablo con los Guapos,” ABC fifth with a 1.4 for “Just for Laughs” and CW sixth with a 0.8 for “Beauty and the Geek.”

Fox was first again at 9 p.m. with a 5.4 for “Hell’s Kitchen,” while NBC held onto second with a 4.3 for the second hour of “Loser.” ABC was third with a 3.5 for “Stars,” CBS fourth with a 2.4 for “Big Brother,” Univision fifth with a 2.0 for “Pasion” and CW sixth with a 0.6 for a repeat of “Reaper.”

At 10 p.m. NBC took the lead with a 2.9 for a repeat of “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit,” with ABC second with a 2.4 for “Boston Legal,” CBS third with a 1.5 for “Talents” and Univision fourth with a 1.3 for “Aqui y Ahora.”

Fox also finished first for the night among households with a 10.4 average overnight rating and a 16 share. ABC was second at 7.1/11, NBC third at 5.7/9, CBS fourth at 5.4/8, Univision fifth at 2.1/3 and CW sixth at 1.1/2.
