The networks capped off a slow weekend with yet another low-rated Sunday night with little original fare.
Airing all repeats, Fox finished first for the evening with a 1.4 adults 18-49 rating and 5 share, according to Nielsen overnights, just ahead of No. 2 CBS’s 1.3/4.
A repeat of “The Simpsons” was the night’s No. 1 show, averaging a 2.0 at 9:30 p.m.
Original shows on the other networks were unimpressive. In its second Sunday outing, CBS’s “Big Brother” averaged a 1.8 rating, winning its 8 p.m. slot but just 0.2 ahead of Fox’s reruns.
At 9 p.m., part two of NBC’s “Meteor” miniseries managed a mere 1.2 rating, though it did win the 10 p.m. timeslot.
That put NBC in third for the night at 1.1/4, followed by ABC fourth at 1.0/3, Univision fifth at 0.8/3 and CW sixth at 0.4/1.
As a reminder, all ratings are based on live-plus-same-day DVR playback. Seven-day DVR data won’t be available for several weeks. Thirty-two percent of Nielsen households have DVRs.
ABC was first at 7 p.m. with a 1.3 for a repeat of “America’s Funniest Home Videos,” while CBS and Univision tied for second at 1.0, CBS for the special “That's The Way it Was: Remembering Walter Cronkite” and Univision for the first half of a Gold Cup soccer match between Mexico and Haiti. NBC was fourth with a 0.9 for a repeat of “Great American Road Trip,” Fox fifth with a 0.7 for repeats of “'Til Death” and “American Dad” and CW sixth with a 0.2 for a rerun of “Valentine.”
At 8 p.m. CBS took the lead with a 1.8 for “Big Brother,” while Fox moved to second with a 1.6 for repeats of “The Simpsons” and “King of the Hill.” ABC was third with a 1.3 for a repeat of “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition,” NBC and Univision tied for fourth at 1.1, NBC for “Merlin” and Univision for more soccer, and CW was sixth with a 0.4 for the first hour of the movie “The Thomas Crown Affair.”
Fox was on top at 9 p.m. with a 1.9 for repeats of “Family Guy” and “Simpsons,” while CBS and NBC tied for second at 1.1, CBS for a “Cold Case” rerun and NBC for the first half of “Meteor.” ABC was fourth with a 0.8 for a repeat of “Desperate Housewives” and CW and Univision tied for fifth at 0.6, CW for its movie and Univision for the first hour of “¡Hazme Reír! Y Serás Millonario.”
At 10 p.m. NBC was first with a 1.4 for more “Meteor,” followed by CBS with a 1.1 for a “Without a Trace” rerun. ABC and Univision tied for third at 0.6, ABC for a repeat of “Brothers & Sisters” and Univision for more “Millonario.”
CBS led the night among households with a 4.1 average overnight rating and an 8 share. NBC was second at 3.1/6, ABC third at 2.4/4, Fox fourth at 1.8/3, Univision fifth at 1.0/2 and CW sixth at 0.8/1.
