After an eight-hour processing delay, Nielsen finally released the Thursday overnights on Friday evening.
The results? ABC, CBS, Fox and Univision posted a rare four-way tie for nightly leadership on an evening where each of the networks had one show among the evening's top four.
The four networks averaged a 1.7 adults 18-49 rating and 6 share apiece, according to Nielsen overnights, with ABC's "Wipeout" the evening's top show with a 2.6.
CBS's "Big Brother" was the No. 2 show of the night, averaging a 2.2, while Univision's "Soy Tu Duena" was third overall with a 2.1 and timeslot competitor "So You Think You Can Dance" on Fox was fourth overall with a 2.0.
Still, each network had enough lower-rated fare on the rest of the schedule to drag down its overall rating. For example, ABC, in addition to having the night's highest-rated show, also had the second-lowest with "Boston Med," which averaged a mere 1.1 rating at 10 p.m.
The networks with no original series Thursday fared the worst. Rerun-laden NBC placed fifth for the night with a 1.1/4 and the CW was sixth with a 0.6/2.
At 8 p.m., ABC's "Wipeout" led with a 2.6, followed by "Brother" at 2.2, Univision's "Hasta Que El Dinero Nos Separe" at 1.6, Fox's "Glee" repeat at 1.3, NBC's "Community" and "30 Rock" reruns at 0.9 apiece, and the CW's "The Vampire Diaries" rerun at 0.6.
At 9 p.m., "Duena" led with a 2.1, followed by "Dance," up 0.1 from last week to a 2.0. ABC's "Rookie Blue" was third at 1.5, while CBS's "CSI" rerun and NBC's "The Office" and "Parks and Recreation" reruns tied for fourth at 1.3. The CW was sixth at 0.5 for a repeat of "Moonlight."
At 10 p.m., CBS's "The Mentalist" rerun finished first with a 1.5, followed by Univision's "Rosa de Guadalupe" and NBC's "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" rerun at 1.3. ABC's "Med" was fourth at 1.1.
Among households, CBS won the night with a 4.5/8. ABC was second at 3.9/7, Fox third at 3.2/6, NBC fourth at 2.3/4, Univision fifth at 2.0/4, and the CW sixth at 0.9/2.
