Forecast: 2012 will rise
3.7 percent, lifted by politics and Games

There's no question that 2012 will be a better year for the media economy.

The question is how much of that improvement will be due to political and Olympic spending, and the answer seems to be a great deal. Nearly half of all gains will come from those two sources.

Ad revenue will be up a healthy 3.7 percent this year . . . .
