Real puzzler, and lots larger than life

With jigsaw puzzles, bigger is truly better. Bigger puzzle, bigger challenge.
That was the message for a campaign in Berlin for Ravensburger, a famed German puzzle-maker.
The message was huge, what appeared to be giant boxes of Ravensburger puzzles around the German capital. They were placed at construction sites.
The effect was of a giant puzzle, with the rubble from the demolition at the foot of the boxes appearing to be larger-than-life pieces of the puzzle scattered about, as they might appear on a table where a puzzle was being put together.
The idea was developed by creatives at Scholz & Friends of Berlin. "One came up with the idea, and then it was developed further with teamwork,” says Scholz's Nicole Ruhl.
The campaign ran for only a few days, and it wasn’t cheap. Only a few boxes could be placed at selected locations around the city due to production costs. But the response was positive, with traffic and pedestrians slowing to get a better look at the oversized jigsaw puzzles.
